The 2024 Themed Experience and Attractions Academic Symposium will take place on November 22, 2024, at the Orange Country Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The Symposium is held on the Friday of the IAAPA Expo, the industry leading event and conference.
The 2024 Symposium features Keynote Speaker: Bob Rogers, Founder, CEO, and Chairman of BRC Imagination Arts; with Special Guest speakers: Joseph Pine II, an internationally acclaimed author and management advisor and author of The Experience Economy and Invited Speaker: Margaret Kerrison, former Imagineer and author of Immersive Storytelling for Real and Imagined Worlds. The afternoon Keynote is Matthew Duerden, Department Chair of Experience Design and Management at BYU and Co-Author of Designing Experiences.

The TEAAS presents the premier academic symposium in the discipline that features a dynamic schedule that includes oral presentations of selected research papers, structured networking sessions, and an extended lunchtime research poster session.
The Themed Experience & Attractions Academic Society exists to enhance communication between themed experience and attractions researchers and educators to create new knowledge, add to the body of work in the field and facilitate teaching and learning. The TEAAS actively engages with the academic community through a scholarly journal, and academic symposium, a dedicated website and through social media.
The symposium takes places with the generous partnership of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), and support of Purdue University, Farmingdale State College, and the University of Central Florida.
