TEA’s the season – Happy holidays!

Past President of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) Steve Birket has stated that the lifeblood of TEA is its community. That community that keeps the association going and growing – currently under the leadership of International Board President Melissa Oviedo – includes the regional and international Boards, many enthusiastic volunteers, a dedicated staff (helmed by Executive Director Lindsey Nelson) and supportive sponsors.

Events big and small

The attractions business runs on relationships and so naturally the fostering of relationships is key to TEA culture, bringing people together for the big, tentpole events such as the Thea Awards and SATE conference series, as well as the regional mixers, open houses, educational sessions and the TEA presence at trade shows and conferences around the globe. And at the end of the year, there are TEA’s great holiday parties.

TEA has helped to define and redefine the attractions industry in so many ways, and TEA events, big and small, help members meet one another, find ways to collaborate, connect with clients and in general find and create opportunities. There’s a lot for everyone to celebrate in 2023 as the industry rebounds.

InPark is proud to support the TEA

As the holiday season plays out, we at InPark send you our best wishes. We are thrilled to be a part of this industry, and to support vital associations such as TEA. Our media outlet and editorial staff help to spread the word about the great work the association is doing. We also work with TEA to help produce annual publications such as the TEA/AECOM Theme Index and the Thea Awards Program. We attend gatherings in person when we can, because it’s at in-person events that the energy really flows. InPark publisher Martin Palicki traveled prolifically to industry conferences and trade shows in 2023 including many by TEA.

TEA knows how to party!

We were also fortunate to have one of our editorial contributors on the spot at the 2023 TEA Western Division holiday party which was a blast! (Check out this video!) The event was held December 6th at Universal Studios Hollywood. A good time was had by all (except, maybe the Grinch!). Thanks to Haunted Attraction Network for the footage and editing!

Warmest holiday wishes to you, and we’ll see you next year at the Thea Awards, TEA INSPIRE and much more. (Did you know? 2024 will be a big anniversary year for InPark! Stay tuned.)
