Valo Motion, the Finnish studio for active mixed-reality attractions for location-based entertainment, has partnered with US Design Lab, a firm that specializes in design and branding for amusement locations, to develop the initial brand identity and visual assets for ValoPark, a retail concept Valo Motion originated and has tested onsite as a family entertainment center called ValoHalli at their Finland headquarters.
ValoPark is a suite of mixed-reality, active entertainment attractions designed to be operated together as a standalone amusement destination. ValoPark can help revitalize underutilized retail spaces, transforming them into family-friendly centers.
“Valo Motion developed ValoPark to become the place where sports and video games converge at retail locations with our proven suite of mixed reality attractions,” said Dr. Raine Kajastila, CEO and Founder of Valo Motion. “We were excited to bring our vision for ValoPark to life by working with the experienced, creative team from US Design Lab on these visual design elements.”
“US Design Lab was excited to be part of the ValoPark project because we have seen Valo Motion innovate with each of their attractions and our work with leading amusement businesses made this a natural fit,” noted Michele Oca, Founder and Chief Creative Director of US Design Lab. “We are proud to have worked with the Valo Motion team to develop the ValoPark logo, layout, design concepts, renderings, and video presentations.”
ValoPark is designed to deliver immersive and active entertainment in small spaces ranging from 4,500 to 10,500 square feet with a required ceiling height of only 12 feet.
ValoPark fosters high throughput (70-160 guests per hour) while requiring minimal staffing (2-4 employees). ValoPark is centered around Valo Motion’s suite of mixed-reality attractions – ValoArena, ValoJump, and ValoClimb – operating in 1,400 locations worldwide.
