Richmond, BC, Canada (March 9, 2016) — For the second year in a row, WhiteWater has been the recipient of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award, a designation given to leading Canadian businesses for excellence in business performance. This recognition goes to companies that demonstrate superior business strategy, capability and commitment to achieving sustainable growth. WhiteWater has achieved this by investing in their people and fostering a customer-centric culture.

“We reinvented our hiring process over the last few years with the goal to hire for attitude, character and values instead of solely for hard skills. We saw tremendous growth in 2015 with the addition of 85 new positions, each of them hired with our new principles,” explains Coleen Hunter, Director of HR, WhiteWater, “our success is derived from the amazing talent of our people innovating, creating and triumphing.”

Last year was an exceptional year for WhiteWater as they celebrated a record breaking number of awards. WhiteWater took home a grand total of 17 awards in 2015 celebrating everything from business excellence, to industry awards for product innovation and international project openings. WhiteWater should be very proud to requalify for the Best Managed recognition as it marks the finale of their record breaking year.

“I am extremely thankful as I look at the impressive list of established, successful Canadian companies who have also won the Canada’s Best Managed Companies award and am proud to sit amongst them. We’re thrilled to be part of this program for the second year in a row,” comments Geoff Chutter, President & CEO, WhiteWater.

The prestigious award stands for so much; it represents WhiteWater’s dedication to employees and WhiteWater’s partnership with customers in their park development, offering the full waterpark product range, unique attractions and turn-key solutions.

WhiteWater employees work closely with our customers to provide them with exceptional service demonstrating everyday what the Best Managed award stands for – customer excellence and first-rate business performance.

“I would like to recognize the entire efforts of WhiteWater. It takes a dedicated effort from an entire team to focus on a core vision, create stakeholder value and excel in the global economy to achieve this level of success,” said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.
