Seth Harkins named Vice President of Creative Arts at Adirondack Studios

Seth Harkins named Vice President of Creative Arts at Adirondack Studios

Adirondack Studios announced last week that long-term Creative Director Seth Harkins has been promoted to Vice President of Creative Arts. With a background in themed entertainment design and production, Seth is responsible for leading the design and arts programs. He oversees a wide variety of imaginative creative professionals to accomplish the creative vision of Adirondack Studios, and that of its clients.

Adirondack Studios is a specialty company offering a range of tailored services based around thematic environments and interactive attractions to the leisure industry. Services include consulting, design, engineering, custom fabrication, installation, and specialty support for projects ranging from theme park attractions to live theatrical performances. Seth has overseen significant growth in the Creative Department in recent years, adding international projects, several additional offices, and the capabilities of the design staff to include emerging technologies and advances in the industry.

Seth holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Before working in the creative department at Adirondack Studios, he worked in the packaging and point-of-purchase design field in the New York City area. After joining the ADKS team in 2007, Seth has helped to grow the design staff by identifying and fostering the future design and arts leadership. He has been responsible for the growth of a stand-out and forward-thinking department in support of ADKS and its clients. Seth will bring this experience to the larger organization and champion the design and arts capability of Adirondack Studios as central to its future success.

Outside of working for ADKS, Seth has been involved with his local community, serving as the chairman of the Town of Milton Board of Ethics for three years. Here he has been responsible to managing a small group of dedicated volunteers in their work for town officials and employees.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Seth for over a decade and I find myself truly excited at the prospects of Adirondack Studios’ design initiatives under his stewardship.”  Joel Krasnove, President Adirondack Studios.
