Christie to showcase immersive experiences with latest LED and projection technology at IAAPA Expo 2019

Showcasing immersive experiences designed to inspire attraction designers and theme park operators, Christie will demonstrate the latest LED and projection technologies at IAAPA Expo November 19-22 in Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center.

“Christie continually pushes the boundaries of display and processing technology, and we work closely with our partners to create unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experiences,” says Bryan Boehme, executive director, Global Sales and Business Development, Entertainment, Christie. “Whether it’s a dark ride like Batman Dark Flight, a live spectacle like ‘El Sueño de Toledo’ at Puy du Fou España, or an immersive exhibition at Austria’s Ars Electronica Center, Christie’s breadth of expertise is unmatched.”

Visitors to Christie’s booth (no.578) can peek through a porthole to see a “ghostly illusion” delivered by Christie’s award-winning MicroTiles LED, and visitors can don passive 3D glasses to see mesmerizing immersive content shown on a Christie Apex Series LED video wall, created in partnership with 3D Live. Additionally, a unique demonstration using Christie Mirage SST, a high-performance RGB laser projection solution, will allow viewers to see four different projection-mapped themes on just one display.

Visitors will also see Rec. 2020 and Rec. 709 color up close in a side-by-side comparison that will show the impact and importance of color in immersive visual experiences. This color demonstration will highlight the stunning, expansive Rec. 2020 color performance of Christie RGB pure laser projection technology, showing how it differs from the well-known Rec. 709 color space produced by laser phosphor or mercury lamp projectors and HDTVs.

Christie products will be on several booths throughout the show. Electrosonic (booth no. 867) will showcase their capabilities on two Christie Apex LED video walls with Pandoras Box Manager for media playback; Falcon’s Creative Group (booth no. 1373) will use a Christie HS Series 1DLP® laser projector and an Apex 1.2mm LED video wall; and the Themed Entertainment Association (booth no. 1066) will display content on two Christie Access Series 65-inch 4K UHD LCD panels.
