New Dataton WATCHMAX SDI media server introduced at InfoComm

Previewed at InfoComm 2018, The WATCHMAX SDI is a dedicated media server for use with Dataton’s award-winning multi-display software, WATCHOUT. With its four 4K DisplayPort outputs and eight 3G-SDI bi-directional connectors, the new rack server represents a major step-up in flexibility for show operators. In common with all Dataton-branded media servers, the WATCHMAX SDI features a performance-optimized spec and a built-in license to ensure users can tap straight into the creative power of the WATCHOUT system.

“This new core model significantly strengthens our range of media servers and will be an excellent alternative for professional users,” said Lars Sandlund, CEO, Dataton. “Our WATCHOUT multi-display system is used in every sort of application – from live events, concerts, theme parks, theater, broadcast and fixed installations. The new unit will be offered with configuration options, making it a versatile solution whenever a rack server is the preferred choice.”
