On April 4, 2024, over 350 individuals attended Celebration of the Arts at Grand Central Air Terminal in Glendale, CA, hosted by Ryman Arts. As part of the evening’s celebrations, Bob Weis was presented the Marty and Leah Sklar Creative Visionary Award. Weis, along with Ryman Arts alumni and students, also joined on stage to honor the impact of Ryman Arts Co-Founder with the first Herbert D. Ryman Community Service award, Leah Sklar, who remains active in community and educational initiatives throughout her life, including a key role in the development of Ryman Arts’ mission and program.
The celebration featured an art sale and show, a curated exhibit of little seen Herbert D. Ryman artwork, an auction full of one-of-a-kind experiences, sketch drawing of costumed models, and included voices from young artists and alumni of Ryman Arts.
