Attractions Technology Lab 2023 to showcase cutting edge technology in working attraction environment

The Attractions Technology Lab (ATL) November 10, 13-17 in Orlando, is once again taking a creative approach to showcase the latest advancements in technology from leading providers. This unique event, held annually, brings together major players in the attractions sector, including Holoplot, Christie, Alcorn McBride, Redd Ash Technologies, Q-SYS, Powersoft, and Strong MDI.

ATL 2023 is the platform for demonstrating how innovative technologies are shaping the future of the attractions industry. Attendees experience a fully operational view of the technologies that often hide behind the scenes.

Holoplot: Unparalleled Sound Control for New Levels of Immersion

Holoplot, a pro audio company from Berlin, has been revolutionizing what’s possible with sound with the launch of its Matrix Array. Using patented 3D Audio-Beamforming technology, Holoplot will envelope ATL visitors in an immersive audio journey, utilizing its exceptional levels of precision in sound placement to create moments of discovery and surprise throughout the event space.

Christie: Full Color Visuals

The immersive content for the Dark Ride Lab is powered by Christie, a global leader in visual technology. Their award-winning RGB pure laser projectors, including the Griffyn 4K35-RGB, Griffyn 4K50-RGB, and M 4K25 RGB, illuminate the screens in the Dark Ride Lab, immersing guests in high-contrast, high-brightness, and rich, bold visuals. In addition, 4K22-HS laser projectors light up the Lab’s haptic floor. While in the Immersive Experience Lab, Christie projectors seamlessly projection-map 3D surfaces, demonstrating the built-in warping and blending capabilities of their projectors.

Alcorn McBride: Synchronizing Audio and Video

Alcorn McBride, a renowned name in show control, plays a pivotal role as the conductor of the ATL experience. Their new ‘BinloopX’ media playback platform and ‘V16X’ show controller ensures perfect synchronization of audio and video, immersing attendees in this captivating journey.

Redd Ash Technologies: Ensuring Safety and Detection

New this year to ATL, Redd Ash Technologies provides cutting-edge LiDAR cameras for object detection and real-time viewing, offering enhanced safety during the event. Their vigilant surveillance plays a vital role in making ATL a secure environment for attendees, emulating the system for Attractions Operators.

Strong MDI: Perfecting Visuals with Seamless Screens

Also new this year, Strong MDI takes center stage with their screen technology with the Eclipse Screen System. Ideal for attractions with close guest proximity, this system boasts a matte finish, low gain reflective coating developed specifically for solid projection surfaces, providing a seamless and immersive visual experience.

Powersoft and Q-SYS

The audio experience was taken to the next level thanks to contributions from Powersoft and Q-SYS. Their advanced audio solutions power the Dark Ride Lab, ensuring crystal-clear sound quality and immersing attendees in a world of technocratic soundscapes, uniquely created for this event.

Powersoft and Strong MDI: Unlocking a new dimension of audio and visual immersion

New this year is the ATL Tech Galley space imagined by Quince Imaging. In that space, guests can experience the groundbreaking SEISMOs flooring system, the result of a partnership between Powersoft and Strong MDI. This collaboration leverages Powersoft’s expertise in advanced audio solutions and combines it with Strong MDI’s mastery of immersive visual experiences. Powersoft’s Mover cutting-edge Moving Magnet technology revolutionizes how we perceive sound and vibrations.  The full system integrates audio and tactile feedback into a seamless sensory experience.
