California’s Great America prepares for 2023 season, including new PEANUTS Celebration

California’s Great America is planning for a 2023 season packed with an expanded lineup of events including the all-new Peanuts Celebration, plus yearlong fun as the park will be open weekends throughout the year beginning in January.

As part of the expanded calendar and additional operating days in 2023, the park is planning a full slate of new and returning events. Events include:

  • PEANUTS Celebration (select dates April 1-30) – PEANUTS Celebration invites guests to step into the iconic world of Charles M. Schulz comic strips as the characters take over areas of the park with special moments and activities for everyone to enjoy. The limited-time event features all-new musical stage shows, playful photo opportunities, a variety of PEANUTS-inspired food and drink items, a silent disco and an opportunity for guests to learn how to draw the Peanuts characters at Sketch School. The all-new Peanuts celebration offers something fun for everyone, including both young and young at heart.
  • Carnivale at Orleans Place (select dates July 19-August 6) – The larger-than-life New Orleans festival features bold Cajun flavors, Big Easy Live Bands, and concludes with the Spectacle of Color Parade featuring a host of Mardi Gras floats. A dance party and spectacular fireworks high over Orleans Place finishes off the evening.
  • Tricks and Treats (select dates September 22-October 29) – The family-friendly, immersive Halloween event, Tricks and Treats, is back for guests of all ages who want to celebrate the fall season without the intense scares. The returning event invites guests to join in on festive fun with a trick-or-treat trail, Halloween-themed games and activities, special live entertainment, along with fall-inspired foods, sweets and drinks.
  • WinterFest (select dates November 24-December 31) – The Bay Area’s most immersive holiday event returns this year, sparkling brighter than ever before. WinterFest brings holiday cheer to California’s Great America as the park is magically transformed into a winter wonderland and holiday festival.
