Five Aqualand Waterparks Receiving New Waterslides and Attractions From Polin

Istanbul, Turkey (February 23, 2012) — Polin announces new additions to five of the Aqualand Water Parks in France! The parks that will be adding new water slides and interactive water play structures are: Aqualand Frejus, Aqualand Cap d’Agde, Aqualand St Cyprien, Aqualand St Cyr Sur Mer, and Aqualand Bassin d’Arcachon.

It was just last year that Aqualand Bassin d’Arcachon and Aqualand St. Syr. Sur Mer decided to expand. In 2011, they chose Polin as their water slide supplier to create two unique rides for the parks. Aqualand Bassin d’Arcachon, the largest water park on the Atlantic coast, (located on 6 acres) chose First Racer Hybrid waterslide from Polin whereas Aqualand St. Syr Sur Mer (located between Marseilles and Toulon) chose a Black Hole Turbolance waterslide. Both Racer Twin Hybrid and Black Hole Turbolance proved themselves as popular rides with Polin’s customer oriented, flexible and efficient design understanding reflected through high guest satisfaction and increased attendance.

Now one year later, the owner of Aqualand Waterparks, Aspro Group – the largest operator of leisure parks and centers in Europe – has decided on a wider expansion plan, this time covering five of their parks. The group retained Polin as their water park supplier. All five water parks are adding unique rides and water play structures. King Cobra is going to Aqualand Frejus (the first of this slide in France). Aqualand Cap d’Agde is adding a tropical themed water play structure. Polin’s unique water coaster ride, Uphill Navigatour & Tunnel Body Slide with patented Natural Light Effects are going to Aqualand St Cyprien. Aqualand St Cyr Sur Mer is installing a tropical themed Aquatower and Aqualand Bassin d’Arcachon is adding a Mini Pirate Slide – a mini kids slide with pirate theming and a themed multi level water play structure. All of the new rides will open in summer 2012. It is important to note that besides the unique design and ride path, all the new slides at Aqualand Waterparks are RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) manufactured waterslides.

“We have worked with Polin for several years and we are very excited to continue with Polin once again,” said Mr. Michel Moenner, Waterpark Manager, Aqualand Waterpark. “We appreciate that they innovate every year with new slides.”

“For 2012 we are adding many revolutionary attractions to our various parks,” continued Moenner. “At Aqualand Frejus we are bringing ‘King Cobra’ to France! King Cobra is a new generation waterslide and we are proud to have this unique ride in our park. We can’t wait for the opening.”
