Fun Spot America Theme Parks announced its newest family thrill ride, the Up and Overboard, is now open at its park in Kissimmee, Florida. Just in time for spring break fun, the high-flying attraction takes guests to new heights as they soar above the midway.
“Up and Overboard is an example of our ongoing commitment to continually enhance our guest experience,” said John Arie Jr., CEO of Fun Spot America Theme Parks. “Up and Overboard’s thrills include the feeling of weightlessness as guests swing through the air while reaching heights up to 60 feet in the sky. We’re excited to open this ride just in time for spring break and watch our guests experience it again and again.”
Up and Overboard takes 32 guests at a time aboard twin gondolas. The gondolas then begin to rotate both clockwise and counterclockwise simultaneously and then rise toward the sky. The full experience is all in the name, as the ride sends passengers soaring head over heels for a dizzying and memorable aerial adventure. Manufactured by SBF-VISA Group, Up and Overboard also features a vibrant light display that creates a colorful visually moving scene across the night sky.
Up and Overboard is the first of two new rides debuting in Kissimmee this year. The park is also adding the brightly colored kiddie swing ride, Swing Around, to the Kids Spot area. The rides are part of an entire package of new rides for Fun Spot America theme parks in 2025. Fun Spot America Atlanta recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest ride, Hook and Slice and the Orlando park will open two new rides in the coming weeks.
