Holovis announced they have appointed George Walker, as Vice President of Creative Development. As the creative mind behind the Ferrari World expansion and attractions such as Flying Aces, Walker has a long history of collaboration with Holovis and credits the Holovis team for “bringing all things magic” to many of the attractions. Building on this history, Walker will be leading and expanding the company’s Creative Services, building upon a team of visionary designers who create some of the world’s most exciting attractions and experiences.
Based in the Holovis office in Orlando, Florida, Walker will be positioned at the heart of the theme park industry to lead the creative design of future projects and new endeavors for Holovis.
Walker brings a long history of creative development experience, from his beginnings creating a themed miniature golf course and FECs over two decades ago, to his more recent roles as Creative Director for Universal Studios Creative Studio in Orlando, and Creative Executive for Dynamic Attractions.
Regarding his move to join Holovis, Walker commented, “I am so excited to be teaming up with such a cutting-edge company that has always managed to innovate and problem-solve. I have been impressed with their ability to get things done and push the limits, whilst championing the guest experience — all in a way that is truly rare in our industry. I see this as the perfect opportunity to build on that momentum together and take Holovis to a whole new level!”
Holovis CEO Stuart Hetherington shared his excitement in welcoming Walker to the company, “We can’t wait to see what George will bring to Holovis. We are known for merging the best of technology with immersive storytelling, which is exactly what George excels at.”
Walker will be engaging with projects the world over as the company charges ahead in what he likes to refer to as “the new roaring twenties.”
