Carlsbad, CA, USA (January 19, 2012) — At a press event today, Legoland California General Manager Peter Ranchetti introduced the new attractions that will be added to the park in 2012. They include five new displays in Star Wars Miniland, new life-size LEGO figures in the Star Wars Gallery, a new family flume ride called Pirate Reef, and Claws: Creatures of the Deep, an interactive crab exhibit at Sea Life Carlsbad Aquarium, located at the park’s entrance. Both the park and the aquarium are properties of Merlin Entertainments. Hopkins Rides will manufacture the flume attraction.
Following are clips from Ranchetti’s presentation, a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Pirate Reef, and a sneak peek at Claws, all courtesy Legoland California.
