Mediamation, Inc. (MMI) has onboarded Vaughn Howes as Director of Sales.
Howes has more than 30 years’ experience in the attractions and themed entertainment industries. His career path began in the 1980s when Howes met with special effects pioneer, Douglas Trumbull of Showscan Corporation. He has engineered and managed successful projects worldwide in almost every area of the industry.
“I remember being quite intimidated, working with known experts in movie special effects, developing large-screen 70mm film-based attractions for high-profile tourist destinations,” says Howes. At Showscan, Howes was involved in marrying digital-audio technologies, and digital-projection technologies which are now commonplace in theme parks and cinemas worldwide.
He has been working with MMI in various roles and as their main Project Manager on all of MMI’s cinemas for many years. In his new role, Howes will lead MMI’s sales department and ensure customers, old and new, will get Mediamation products for their new ventures.
Howes comments, “In my career, I have been very fortunate to be involved in groundbreaking experiences at famous theme parks, like Disneyland and Universal Studios, during the era of adapting industrial motion simulator systems to the entertainment world. I feel lucky to have managed projects in almost every corner of the globe.”
