PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional TV and Digital Signage products, software, and innovations, announces the appointment of Beth Donow, as its new Manager, Supply Chain for professional displays and hospitality.
Hailed as one of the AV industry’s ‘top talents’, Beth brings almost 20 years of invaluable knowledge and channel experience to the ever-growing and developing PPDS management team in North America, having held various senior leadership and director roles at other leading organizations, including LG and Philips, during her illustrious career.
Working from the PPDS Atlanta Metro area office, Beth’s responsibilities as Manager, Supply Chain for professional displays and hospitality, include – but are not limited to – further building and strengthening new and existing relationships with the sales teams and the AV channel, forecasting product demand across multiple industries and product segments, and managing the supply chain (including third party logistics) on a national and international level.
PPDS is a wholly owned subsidiary of TPV Technology Limited, the world’s largest manufacturer of monitors and a leading provider of display solutions. It exclusively markets and sells Philips-branded professional displays, covering professional TVs, signage and LED solutions, worldwide.
By combining the Philips brand promise with TPV’s manufacturing expertise in displays, PPDS employs a competitive and focused approach to bring innovative products to market – from its 10” touchscreen through to unlimited LED displays. Designing solutions that make a positive impact, both for resellers and for end-customers – at the right time and in the right places.
Key areas of focus currently include the rollout of PPDS’ latest range of Philips professional signage and TV displays, including the interactive T-Line (education) and C-Line (corporate) range, and its newly announced line of dedicated MediaSuite pro Android TVs for the hospitality market.
The appointment also sees Beth reunited with Joe King, Vice President, PPDS, Commercial Displays, North America, having previously worked together at Philips Consumer Lifestyle (then Philips Consumer Electronics) between 2007-2008, where she held the role of Director of Supply Operations.
King, who held the role as Director of Sales for hospitality during that period, described Beth as the perfect addition to the team during such an important and ambitious period in the company’s history.
“I am genuinely thrilled to welcome Beth to the team,” said Joe. “Having worked together previously, it was clear from the beginning she was a rising talent and is someone that has gone on to become a highly respected and highly sought-after professional in her field, boasting an unblemished record of success wherever she has gone.”
The best is yet to come
Joe continued: “2021 has been an incredible year for PPDS, with the rebrand, the announcement and launch of an ever-growing list of highly innovative pro TV and signage solutions (including LED), and of course, our recent return to the hospitality market – a space where Beth’s knowledge and experience will prove invaluable as we strive to become a market leader in this segment. Whether it’s for hospitality, food and beverage, retail, education, corporate, broadcast, entertainment, publica venues or healthcare – PPDS now has the solution.”
Commenting on her new role, Beth added: “When the opportunity arose to team up with Joe again and to join a company in PPDS, which has made incredible strides in recent years, bringing truly exciting and market leading solutions that have and continue to really cause a stir among its competitors, it was a very simple decision.”
She concluded: “Having now spent some time with the team and been able to view the current and future roadmaps, I’m thrilled to be able to play a role in being part of the company’s undoubted success moving forward and to help achieve its ambitions.”
