|BALTIMORE, MD, USA — It was literally a mini start to a mega attraction as the newest Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium in the world welcomed media to a sneak peek at its new location in the Light Street Pavilion on Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
The final exhibit was delivered this morning – a Mini Cooper car covered with one million Swarovski crystals. As the car drove up and stopped in front of the attraction, out popped the driver, Mini Gene Simmons of the popular Mini Kiss band, to the crowd’s delight!
The two-story, 10,000 square feet Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Baltimore Odditorium features an eye-popping collection of unbelievable exhibits, unusual artwork and amazing artifacts from around the world. There are nine different themed galleries packed with one-of-a-kind exhibits; more than 120 of the exhibits are innovative interactive activities.
The collection of strange, wonderful and unbelievable exhibits, include:
Ripley’s Marvelous Mirror Maze features nearly 2,000 square feet of mirrored paths, surprising corners, dead ends and continuous circles! Sound and lighting effects make the experience even more daunting. Unlike mazes of the past, this one offers multiple paths throughout and a unique infinity room. Adventurers can begin at the end and work their way through backward if they wish.
Also open is the 4D Ripley’s Moving Theater in which guests sit down for an adventurous and exciting 3D movie experience, with the addition of movement, sound, wind, rain and snow! Each experience consists of two films – Skate Rate and Snow Ride. Guests literally ride these action-filled movies!
