SITE Lite virtual conference for students in themed entertainment taking place March 27

Students in Themed Entertainment (SITE) is a Themed Entertainment conference hosted by the Theme Park Engineering Group at Ohio State University (TPEG OSU) and is specifically designed for university students. Bringing together themed entertainment clubs across North America, the aim is to inspire and support those with aspirations to pursue a full-time professional career in the Themed Attractions/Entertainment Industry.

Over the past two years, professionals and students alike gathered at Ohio State’s campus to share their stories, uniting their favorite industry with three days of unparalleled networking potential.

Due to the ongoing difficulties with in-person events, TPEG OSU made the difficult decision to not host SITE 2021. The group is disappointed that it and other SITE attendees cannot personally spend time together, sharing their passion and growing their knowledge of the industry, but to host SITE to its full scope virtually would be a disservice to its university entertainment club partner community. All hope is not lost though. Through perseverance and a little bit of creativity, TPEG OSU came up with a compromise: SITE LITE.

Even though SITE LITE is a new version of SITE, TPEG OSU wanted to prioritize the focal aspect of the original conference: networking. This new event will be centered around growing invaluable connections with other peers in the industry. To accommodate this, participants can expect a series of guided & interactive themed break out room experiences.
