Six Flags Discovery Kingdom announced the debut of a new dolphin show, So Flippin’ Fun!. The daily show combines elements of music, dance and, audience participation, with the grace and athleticism of bottlenose dolphins in the park’s care.
Park guests can expect to view the new show daily within Toyota Stadium, which underwent a year-long renovation improving the guest experience, while also upgrading animal and staff facilities.
“Discovery Kingdom has a long legacy of education through entertaining animal presentations,” said Regional General Manager Raffi Kaprelyan. “We’re thrilled to share the long-term relationships built between the animal care specialists and the dolphins with our guests. Because of that mutual bond an understanding each show can be different and unique and really solidifies our place as one of the most unique theme parks in the world.”
Features of So Flippin’ Fun! – include:
- The show features two separate volunteer segments with multiple opportunities for audience members to dance and get splashed by the park’s bottlenose dolphins;
- A rotation of four bottlenose dolphins star in the new show;
- Clear viewing windows surround the 718,000-gallon show pool, allowing guests the ability to view the action underwater;
- “DJ Echo” serves as the show’s host guiding the presentation of the bottlenose dolphins’ unique natural behaviors while providing interactive opportunities with the audience; and
- Daily showtimes for performances at the newly renovated 2,700-seat stadium are available on the official Six Flags App.
