Sydney, Australia (February 10, 2012) — Yesterday, a new screen was raised at the LG IMAX Theatre, located on Sydney’s Darling Harbour, replacing the original screen which had been in use for the past sixteen years. The original screen, the world’s largest, was manufactured by Harkness Screens. The replacement is from Queubec-based Strong/MDI and maintains the world record, measuring 96.5 feet high by 117 feet wide. 31 riggers participated in the screen raising.
