Deborah Eicher Joins Scruffy Dog as Commercial Director

London, UK – Scruffy Dog Ltd, a leading Design, Create & Deliver firm serving the global leisure and entertainment industry has appointed Deborah Eicher as their Commercial Director.

de-head-shotEicher brings over 17 years of commercial and marketing experience in the leisure and entertainments industry, has an MBA, ICAE and is on the Board of Directors of the IAAPA Foundation. Eicher recently worked as Business Development Director at HB Leisure and was President, Global Industry Relations and Business Development for Picsolve focusing on the US, Far East, and Middle East.

On the appointment, she says, “I’m delighted to join Scruffy Dog Ltd at such an exciting time of growth and expansion into the global market place. With 17 years in the leisure and entertainment industry, I feel fortunate to join a fresh innovative and creative team with world class design and manufacturing facilities.”

Scruffy Dog founder and Managing Director, Joe Bright, says “I am very excited that Deborah has joined our team to lead our growth in the leisure and entertainment sectors. Deborah has key experience and connections in the industry to help us deliver our design and fabrication expertise to a broader array of customers. Scruffy Dog has a prestigious list of clientele such as Merlin Entertainments having provided creative designs and fabrication for Legoland Windsor, Alton Towers, Chessington Worlds of Adventures, Madame Tussauds and other Merlin Entertainments locations. Scruffy also provides work in the film and set sector working with the likes of ITV in the United Kingdom.

Scruffy Dog’s goal is to push the boundaries of imagination and creativity in an industry where the guest experience is evolving and serving a younger clientele. Scruffy Dog’s designers are known for delivering world class experiences for all sorts of entertainment venues including theme parks, resorts and hotels, museums and exhibits, hotels, restaurants, retail, sets and stages, festivals, live shows and experiential marketing.

Having bespoke design studios in both Birmingham and London, Scruffy Dog are able to offer the most equipped creative service in the EU, boasting leading software and machines combined with a dense team of multi-disciplined designers. Their design service covers everything from pre-conceptual research and analysis through to initial concepts, concept development, concept finalization and detailed drawings. Recently investing heavily in their technical and graphic design departments, Scruffy Dog are truly offering that turn-key design service.

The Birmingham site also houses its 18,000 sq. ft. workshop that is equipped to handle any scale of project from fabrication to on-site installation. Birmingham is also home to a dedicated project and production management team, with state of the art equipment and services such as 7-axis CNC robotic sculpting, 3-axis flatbed CNC cutting, dual component spray systems and spray-bake booths, wood & metal workshops as well as scenic painting.
