AREA15 expansion reaches 60% pre-lease milestone

AREA15, the immersive and experiential entertainment district, announces the new 20-acre expansion has reached a key milestone with 60% of the retail space now pre-leased. With its first tenant slated to open later this year, the expansion will double the footprint of the existing campus.

The expanded district introduces a mix of experiential entertainment, immersive art exhibits and innovative dining and retail concepts, including:

  • Burning Man’s famous Boeing 747: Dubbed the largest art car ever created, this airplane fuselage was famously reconfigured as an immersive party venue by Big Imagination for 2017’s Burning Man festival in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. At AREA15, visitors will once again be able to experience this monumental masterpiece as a reimagined event and nightlife venue.
  • Dolls Kill: Dolls Kill, known for its celebration of individuality, nonconformity and subversive style, will bring its unique fashion experience to life in ways fans have never seen before at this new flagship store. Fashion-forward misfits and trendsetters alike can look forward to exclusive Las Vegas collections, limited-edition items, immersive fashion experiences and community-driven events such as pop-ups and collaborations, establishing it as a hub for alternative fashion culture.
  • The Escape Game: The Escape Game offers 60-minute experiences in a highly immersive, multi-room set where players crack codes, uncover clues and solve puzzles. All games provide collaborative, tactile, story-driven adventures.
  • Felix & Paul Studios’ Interstellar Arc: From the creators of Space Explorers, the Emmy Award-winning immersive production filmed in space, comes Interstellar Arc – a groundbreaking, futuristic space adventure that pushes the boundaries of immersive storytelling and technology. Set in the 26th century, this next-generation experience transports guests on an epic deep-space mission across the far reaches of the cosmos.
  • iFLY Indoor Skydiving: The new iFLY Indoor Skydiving location will include a professionally developed facility designed to appeal to both first-time fliers and professionals. The destination will offer iFLY’s signature wind tunnels, media management systems, flying progression programs, STEM education events, private spaces for events and more.
  • Museum of Ice Cream: Opening its largest global flagship location, the nearly 30,000-square-foot Museum of Ice Cream will feature the first ice cream buffet, ice cream-themed hotel suites, a dreamy dessert playspace, the famous sprinkle pool, a pink party bus and much more. The larger-than-life experience will blend the city’s culture with experiential design, appealing to adults and families alike.
  • Universal Horror Unleashed: Brought to life by the masters of horror from Universal Destinations & Experiences, Universal Horror Unleashed will be the company’s first ever year-round, fully immersive horror experience. The fears only felt in movies will come to bone-chilling life when guests encounter the evils of four haunted houses, each with its own terrifying story. The nightmares continue in four sinisterly themed immersive areas with live entertainment, eerie craft cocktails and food in select locations.

The expanded district’s food and beverage lineup will include Chilango’s Tacos, known for its al pastor and birria tacos as well as carne asada quesadillas, and Saint Honoré Doughnuts & Beignets, offering their viral hand-decorated doughnuts, flavorful coffees and authentic French Quarter-style beignets.

The expansion of the AREA15 District has been propelled by a $161 million construction financing package orchestrated by Fisher Brothers, the real estate developer behind the AREA15 expansion. This significant financial infusion includes $108 million in C-PACE financing from North Bridge and an additional $53 million from ACORE CAPITAL, supporting the construction of new buildings across more than 300,000 leasable square feet.

“The caliber of tenants joining us illustrates the scope and scale of the transformative vision we’re pioneering in Las Vegas,” said Winston Fisher, partner at Fisher Brothers and chief executive officer of AREA15. “These concepts represent just the beginning as we continue to partner with visionary brands to shape an unparalleled destination for exploration and immersive entertainment.”
