Vallejo, CA, USA  (October 6, 2013) — In Park Magazine’s News Editor Joe Kleiman spent yesterday at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, the only Six Flags park to combine wildlife, marine life, and thrill rides, co-hosting a segment of the Season Pass Podcast.  Among the many activities were a one-on-one session with Valerie, an African elephant, a ride backwards on the SkyScreamer swings tower, and an unexpected hour-long interview with Don McCoy, the park’s new President, who gave clues as to what to expect in the future with dynamic changes planned for the park’s offerings.  Look for a transcript of that interview to appear soon on InParkMagazine.com.

1236513_10151884557165272_1403139521_n

The Haunted Graveyard got its start in 1991, when Ernie and Carol Romegialli’s daughter, Johanna, was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes.

According to Ernie, “We started decorating our yard in Middletown, Connecticut for Halloween, thinking it would keep Johanna’s mind off candy. Every year, the displays of decoration just kept getting bigger and bigger. It outgrew our yard and has since evolved into Southern New England’s largest Halloween attraction. Today, Johanna, at age 28, is an active member of the Graveyard team.”

To date, The Haunted Graveyard has donated more than $1,000,000 to various diabetes organizations.

The worst nightmares keep coming back.

Like the undead crawling out of their graves, Phantom Fright Nights is back at Kennywood. Come experience the most intense spectacles of sheer terror – BioFear, Voodoo Bayou, Mortem Manor, Villa of the Vampires, and others too horrific to mention.

Your mind will continue to spin as you climb aboard your favorite thrill rides. Yes, they’re running. But with one big difference. They rumble, race and fly in utter darkness! You’ll never see what’s coming until it’s too late.

This marks the twelfth year of undying fear. So you know the drill: Gasping shock. Racing palpitations. Wobbly knees. But please, don’t stifle your screams….let us know you’re still alive.
