On May 8, 2025, Ryman Arts celebrated 35 years of nurturing young artists with an unforgettable evening at the historic Grand Central Air Terminal on the Walt Disney Imagineering campus. Celebration of the Arts brought together 320 guests and 45 exhibiting artists for a night filled with art, creativity, and community connection.
During the event, the 5th Marty and Leah Sklar Creative Visionary Award was presented to Domee Shi, Academy Award-winning director and Vice President of Creative at Pixar Animation Studios. The evening featured a fireside chat with Jonas Rivera, Executive Vice President of Production at Pixar, and culminated with an award ceremony where Jonas returned to the stage to present the Sklar Creative Visionary Award to Domee, alongside Board President David A. Price and Executive Director Audrey Salzburg, followed by an exciting live auction!
Guests experienced a vibrant evening with a curated exhibition of original artwork, exclusive art prints with artist meetings and signings, live and silent auctions, art-making experiences with Eric Robison painting live and Ryman Arts alumni sketching live models, and the fun game of chance with Surprize Lockers. The night also marked the debut of an exclusive 35th Anniversary tote and commemorative poster.
