With a $700 million investment, Hotel Xcaret Mexico will debut an enhanced multigenerational offering by summer 2025. This expansion will create a setting for families to share unique moments together while significantly increasing the hotel’s lodging capacity.
With this new expansion, Hotel Xcaret Mexico’s accommodations will double, offering a total of 1,800 guest rooms distributed across 10 “Casas,” each inspired by significant symbols of the Mayan world. The Casas will be thoughtfully tailored for specific age groups, with dedicated Casas for families with children aged 0-9, 10-12, and 13-17, as well as adults-only Casas that feature their own rooftop and private restaurant. Each Casa will offer activities curated to foster an exceptional family atmosphere.
The hotel will now include a total of 16 pools, including four rooftop pools: two for families, one for teens, and one exclusively for adults. Additionally, five new waterslides will provide even more fun for the entire family.
As part of this multigenerational approach, entertainment options will be enhanced with dedicated areas for adults, teens, and children. New attractions include a kids’ hotelito (small hotel), a lunateca, a teen club, a 24-hour restaurant-movie theater called Xinema, and a unique speakeasy for adults. Additionally, a family-focused wellness experience will be introduced at the renovated Muluk Spa, blending relaxation and entertainment to create memorable moments for families, alongside an exclusive adults-only area.
The hotel’s culinary offerings will double, reaching a total of twenty signature dining experiences. These options will continue to celebrate the richness of Mexican cuisine while incorporating flavors from international haute cuisine. Notably, the Michelin Star restaurant Ha,’ led by Mexican chef Carlos Gaytán, will be part of this new phase. A prominent collective of celebrity chefs will join, including Paco Méndez, who was awarded a Michelin Star for his restaurant COME in Barcelona and also leads the culinary vision at the Encanta restaurant located at Hotel Xcaret Arte.
Additionally, Hotel Xcaret Mexico will expand its offerings for the Groups and Conventions segment with over 37,000 square feet of spaces to accommodate everything from board meetings to conventions for up to 2,500 people. With this addition, the hotel will offer more than 48,000 square feet of meeting space.
“At Hotel Xcaret Mexico, we believe true luxury is best experienced with family, and our 2025 new era is designed to create unforgettable moments that transcend generations. We want every family member, from the youngest to the eldest, to find a space they can enjoy together and build lasting memories,” said Lizeth Álvarez Gorosave, Chief Commercial Officer at Grupo Xcaret. “This new era not only reinforces our commitment to the highest standards of excellence but also reaffirms our dedication to creating unique, unforgettable moments in a truly unique setting.”
This new era of Hotel Xcaret Mexico not only enhances the guest experience but also brings significant benefits to the local community, with more than 1,600 new direct jobs created in the first phase. This project reinforces Grupo Xcaret’s commitment to the region’s economic development, providing job opportunities that contribute to social well-being and promote sustainable growth in the Riviera Maya.
