Mickey and friends headed to Disneyland Resort in trio of new attractions

The magic of Disney animation and music will come to life in April 2019 in the 3D movie musical “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” (pictured above), located in the Sunset Showcase Theater at Disney California Adventure Park. Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and other favorite Disney characters will take guests into the fantastic world of classic Disney animated musical sequences “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Little Mermaid,” to “Peter Pan” and “Aladdin.”

Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration, opening April 26, 2019, in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort, is a new experience celebrating 90 years of the beloved Mickey Mouse. This limited-time pop-up offering features selfie-and-photo-worthy, immersive and imaginatively-themed rooms inspired by all things Mickey Mouse. One fun surprise is a super-sized bow sofa. In this area, guests can pop into the portrait and take a seat on Minnie’s plush sofa or pose under Minnie’s giant bows and hearts. In the ‘Mickey at Disneyland’ room, guests can pose inside an 8-foot Mickey balloon, surrounded by a backdrop of bright balloon bouquets. In a salute to the classics, guests are the pop of color in the black and white cartoon world of “Plane Crazy”, where Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse both made their first appearance in 1928. Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration requires a separate ticket.

Disneyland Park guests will be able to step into a cartoon world and join Mickey and his friends on Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, coming to Mickey’s Toontown in 2022. This first major Mickey-themed ride-through attraction at Disneyland park will put guests inside the wacky and unpredictable world of a Mickey Mouse Cartoon Short where anything can happen. Once guests step into the cartoon world of Mickey and Minnie, they will board a train with Goofy as the engineer. Then, one magical moment after the next leads to a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.
