The Neon Museum announces its next Beyond the Neon Boneyard series entitled “Illuminating the Las Vegas Skyline: Charles Barnard” will be held online on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 12pm PST.
The hour-long virtual presentation hosted by museum experts will focus on the artistry and design of the city’s skyline through the eyes of Ad-Art Art Director Charles Barnard, the mastermind behind the design of classic Las Vegas signs like Vegas Vickie, Sassy Sally’s, the Plaza, and the Mirage.
The discussion will highlight how he used lights in a way and scale that had never been seen before. Barnard often referred to this new branding technique as “electric architecture.”
