The Shanghai International Tourism Investment Expo takes place in Shanghai from March 30 to April 1, 2022. The Expo is an annual event drawing in over 400,000 visitors from all across China. Themed entertainment plays a very large part of the tourism industry, and major parks, FECs, museums, theaters, concert halls and more make their way to the expo.
As part of the expo, the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) is seeking speakers.
The deadline for submissions is January 28, 2022.
Given current travel restrictions, it is possible for presenters to participate online, either in real time or through a pre-recorded video presentation. TEA seeks representation from the the full cycle of themed entertainment, including all aspects of project development: creative development, storytelling, design development, construction and fabrication, safety & operations, show production, sound, lighting and media production.
Submissions are to be sent to Miia Tahtinen ([email protected]) and Stephen Thomas Cavit ([email protected]) and should include the following:
- 1-2 Paragraph Proposal description of overall presentation, its primary focus, information on the planned format, learning goals/audience takeaways and any other relevant information that will help evaluate whether the topic is a fit for the overall conference
- Where appropriate, a variety of case studies should be used for context and to illustrate thesis but not for self promotion
- Include speaker(s) name(s) and 100-word bio for each
