Valo Motion introduces ValoArena, an indoor mixed reality product

Valo Motion, the Finnish mixed reality gaming company, unveiled its new immersive mixed reality indoor space, ValoArena. The first public installation opened at SuperPark in Vantaa, Finland, on February 19 and features three different games that launched within the platform.

Designed for activity parks and other indoor leisure and hospitality spaces, the freeform game follows ValoClimb and ValoJump, its other mixed reality systems, requiring no attendant or wearables for gameplay. In ValoArena, groups of up to six players choose between three different games to compete together in a simultaneously physical and virtual space on an arena-like stage where spectators can watch and cheer.

“The world is opening up again after two years of us being isolated into our own spaces,” said Raine Kajastila of Valo Motion. “With our previous products, we learned that playing together with a group of friends is the most fun and rewarding way to be active. With ValoArena, we wanted to create a game platform that allows a bigger group to experience active games together.”

“Valo Motion is really pushing the limits, and we are proud to be working with them,” said Kirsi Ojakoski, Country Director at SuperPark Finland. “We believe that ValoArena will bring a ‘wow’ experience to our new and existing visitors who we are looking forward to hosting and surprising. The earlier games — ValoClimb and ValoJump — are still very much enjoyed by families, kids and groups.”

The next ValoArena installation will be completed in the Netherlands with Valo Motion’s partner ELI Play.
