Missouri Botanical Garden’s holiday Garden Glow celebrates ten years

Missouri Botanical Garden will celebrate its tenth annual Garden Glow this winter. Guests will experience a wonderland of more than 1.5 million lights, including spectacular new shows and favorite holiday tradition.

Garden Glow runs nightly through January 7.

New this year is a new show fills the pools in front of the Climatron with more than 100,000 lights. The display features enormous lit trees reflecting in pools covered in sparkling lights that all dance in time with the glowing Climatron to music. Two new shows light up Tower Grove House with larger-than-life animations projected onto the Victorian home.

Classic favorites like “Big Blue,” a giant sweet gum wrapped in more than 800 strands of lights, and family photo backdrops will return to this holiday experience. Garden Glow also features festive drinks, snacks and unique photo opportunities like a giant snow globe guests can step inside.

Also new this year, those looking to make a night of it can rent a private 1-hour firepit experience for a special celebration with family and friends.

Santa will visit Garden Glow November 22, 28 and 29 and December 5, 6, 12 and 13.

The Holiday Flower Show, featuring hundreds of vibrant poinsettias, will be in the brand-new Emerson Conservatory. Get a first look at the Conservatory, which houses a permanent display of Mediterranean plants, decorated for the holidays.

The Holiday Wreath Auction, which features creations from some of St. Louis’ florists, also returns this year. Designs range from traditional to whimsical and are sold by silent auction bidding, with proceeds benefiting the Missouri Botanical Garden.

The Holiday Flower Show and the Holiday Wreath Auction are included in Garden Glow admission. Both are also on view during the Garden’s daytime hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
